The Locality :

Batu Kori is a traditional Balinese village on the east coast of Bali, 20 kilometres from the centre of city of Almapura in a region known as Karangasem.
Batu Kori is 8 kilometres from Amed, a amazing tourist destination in this area. Unlike other larger municipalities, this area is largely untouched by tourism and the traditional Balinese way of life is still preserved.

The basic design of the project:

Resort Batu Kori is a natural resort where elements of organic architecture are used.
The basic concept is focused on organizing seminars of personal development, relaxation, finding peace and balance.
Thanks to this, it will be possible to provide visitors unique experiences in the environment of this island. The building material is bamboo, which provides a wide range of uses in exterior and also interior design.

Architectural design:

The dominant feature of the resort is a restaurant that offers spectacular ocean view, but also a view at pool area and a tropical garden. The capacity of the restaurant is 20 people.
The 4 apartments, which are fan-shaped around the pool, provide comfort and privacy.
Each apartment has 2 bedrooms, a living terrace with a kitchenette, 2 open-air (garden) bathrooms.
Capacity is 16 people.
In the central part is a swimming pool with a relaxing terrace, and other smaller pools are separated by cascade.
A viewing tower with a drinking water reservoir is located in the northern corner. The meditation room is designed above the water surface and its location symbolizes the sheltered island amidst lush tropical vegetation. The carport is located at the entrance to the area in the western corner, the second part covering the higher terrace is used as a laundry and drying room.
